There is every reason to celebrate this book, The Man & Legend of New Masquerade, Chief Zebrudaya Okoroigwe Nwogbo, alias 4.30 authored by Chief Alexander Nkwere Iheke (Opiegbe). Beyond the fact that the New Masquerade and its lead character, Chief Zebrudaya evolved from the ashes of the civil war, this memoir is a nostalgic recollection of the power of comic satire to cut through hurt and invoke healing through laughter. Using the public presentation of the book as a springboard, we intend to redefine artiste welfare and caregiving to them during retirement. Finally, this book contributes to the body of scholarly knowledge on the New Masquerade, Chief Zebrudaya, and Nollywood, which are study areas of interest to researchers.
